The Race EventThe “Race” Event
This is a non-interactive time-trial event where three robots race down separate paths over a distance of 5 metres.
The Race Event

Start |
Robots must commence on the ground, at rest, behind the starting line. The starting procedure will be 'Ready', 'Set', 'Go'. Robots should be activated on 'Go'. |

Finish |
The race time for each robot will be measured when any part of the robot reaches the finish line. |

Points |
The score for each robot will be calculated using the formula: Score = 15 x (Overall fastest time) ÷ (Measured time) This gives 15 points for the fastest measured time and fewer points for slower times. Robots that fail to finish an event will be assigned a time of 600 seconds for the run. |
