Codarra has used the NXT, NXT 2.0 previously. NXT 2.0 is the current version. Any issues with the robot that are discovered, Codarra will publish the findings here.
Instructions inside the kit describe in detail how to go about constructing and programming the basic design robot. Contestants may compete with a Lego design or they may wish to develop their own unique designs. Below are possible configurations of the robot.
The mindstorms kit comes with range of Lego components, a NXT computer-controlled Lego brick and four basic sensors:
· sound sensor;
· touch sensor;
· light sensor, and
· ultrasonic rangefinder.
Other combinations of sensors may be used, but additional sensors will have to be purchased separately. Any additional equipment or parts is the responsibility of the participating school.
